Walking on broken glass, 1 hour - Current world record 1. Motivational expert Nigel Jardine walked a distance of 1060 metres around an octagonal path of broken glass on 16 August 2009 at the Bageecha restaurant in Hall Park, Horsforth, UK. However, he didn't stop there. Instead he went on to set another record, one that had never been attempted before. He walked on shards of glass for 27 1/2 hours, covering a total distance of 30km. With his record attempts, he supported the charity Action for Children.   Previous verified claims 1. Fred M. (Germany) walked a distance of 960 m on broken glass within one hour on 19 August 2007 at Bodenmais, Germany. 2.
